General Notes:
1. Please bring food and clothing for any conditions, according to the type
of walk. On mountain walks, take spares of both for emergencies.
2. Leaders may refuse to take on their walks any person who does not appear
fit enough for the proposed route, or who is not properly equipped for the
conditions. If in doubt, consult the Leader /Group Programme Secretary by
telephone.
3. On winter mountain walks an ice axe is usually needed and crampons are
often useful. Telephone if in doubt.
4. Participants should remember that there is an element of risk on any walk,
and every care should be taken at all times.
5. Walks may be altered to suit the conditions. When a severe weather warning
has been issued on radio and television, the leader has the right to cancel
the walk without going to the start point.
6. Dogs! Dogs! Dogs! Most walks in North Wales pass through sheep country
where dogs can be a great embarrassment to a walks leader. Even when a dog
is under close control, sheep may still panic. Dogs are not allowed on ANY
of the Meirionnydd, Berwyn, Vale of Clwyd or Deeside Groups’ walks and
for the other Groups, some walks in this programme are noted “No Dogs”.
If, for a walk with these latter Groups, you wish to take your dog, please
telephone the leader in advance.
7. Not a member? You are welcome.
